Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare sales invoices, debit and credit notes, and all billing documentation ensuring timely dispatch to both clients and vendors.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable by tracking pending payments, coordinating with clients and internal teams, and processing vendor bills with appropriate approvals to ensure on-time supplier payments.
- Perform reconciliation of bank and credit card statements as well as ledger accounts, resolving any inconsistencies and maintaining accurate general ledger entries.
- Support month-end closing processes including trial balance preparation, management reporting, and assist with submission of statutory returns such as GST, TDS, and income tax. Participate in internal and external audit processes.
- Manage employee expense claims, advances, and travel expense bills by verifying documentation and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain well-organized digital and physical accounting records and generate Management Information System (MIS) reports as requested by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Have 2 to 4 years of professional experience in accounts or finance positions, preferably within corporate or service industries.
Skills and Competencies
- Demonstrated proficiency in GST and TDS compliance, including filing returns, conducting reconciliations, and handling basic notice troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards, fundamental direct tax principles, and Indian taxation laws.
