Accounting Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Accounting Manager to take charge of centralized accounting functions spread across diverse business units and legal entities. This role demands ensuring precise financial reporting, robust internal controls, and adherence to relevant accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial closing processes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Supervise General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany accounting operations.
• Guarantee accuracy in financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance with IFRS standards.
• Oversee accounting activities within multiple business units and legal entities.
• Enhance internal control frameworks and coordinate both internal and external audits.
• Promote improvements in accounting procedures, ERP system enhancements, and automation initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting department team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of pertinent experience in accounting and finance roles.
• Possession of professional qualifications such as SOCPA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, MBA, or equivalents.
• Proven track record in managing accounting teams and successfully handling financial closing procedures.
• Extensive experience with General Ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal accounting controls.
• Background in working within multi-entity or complex organizational settings.
• Comprehensive understanding of IFRS, ERP platforms, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent command of English for communication and leadership purposes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Group Finance, Shared Services, or centralized accounting departments.
• Involvement in ERP system implementation, financial process transformation, or accounting automation projects.
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is advantageous.
