Accounting Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at JD.com in Dublin, Ireland. This role involves the design and optimization of financial systems, leading a settlement team, ensuring compliance, and providing technical expertise and training. The position offers a strategic opportunity to influence financial policies and procedures within a global industry leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop financial policies, procedures, and solutions, establishing standards and governance frameworks.
• Apply domain expertise to innovate and continuously improve financial processes for better effectiveness.
• Lead and manage the settlement team, identifying and developing top talent while enhancing team capabilities.
• Implement fair incentive systems to motivate and engage team members.
• Create and sustain a positive team culture to promote cohesion and belongingness.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial risk mitigation through consistent and accurate policies.
• Provide expert technical support to finance settlement teams, shared service centers, and business units.
• Conduct training and coaching to improve professional skills within the settlement team.
• Monitor and evaluate process efficiency and compliance for smooth financial operations supporting sustainable business growth.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant discipline, preferably Master’s, with ability to understand and apply complex financial concepts and tools.
• Project Management certification or proven experience managing finance-business integration projects.
• At least 5 years of experience in finance or project management roles, including minimum 2 years in leading financial teams.
• Experience leading financial system implementations, team transformations, or setting up new teams from the ground up.
• Involvement in finance-business process, system, or automation projects.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth policy execution.
• Strong communication abilities coordinating with Treasury, Tax, Credit Control, Legal departments, and external parties.
• Resilient under pressure, capable of managing complex and challenging collection scenarios.
• Adapt quickly to changing financial trends and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
