Position Overview
The Accountant will be stationed on-site in Riyadh, undertaking comprehensive financial responsibilities such as managing daily accounting records, maintaining the general ledger, and performing bank and account reconciliations. This role also includes preparing detailed financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts, and tracking costs related to IT and project-based work to ensure financial and operational alignment.
Additional duties include overseeing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with monthly and annual financial closings, and ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabian accounting standards as well as corporate policies. Collaboration with finance and operations teams is critical for delivering accurate fiscal data for strategic planning. The Accountant may also facilitate audits and contribute to continuous process enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Solid expertise in fundamental accounting tasks including journal entries, ledger updates, and reconciliation of accounts.
- Proven ability to prepare financial statements, management reports, and audit documentation to comply with regulations.
- Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar analytical tools.
- Understanding of local Saudi Arabian accounting and tax laws and compliance practices.
- Competence in supporting budget development, financial forecasting, and project cost monitoring, especially within technological settings.
- Strong analytical aptitude with meticulous attention to numerical accuracy.
- Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken, with the capability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline; professional certifications like CPA, CMA, or SOCPA are considered advantageous.
- Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in IT or software industries.
- High ethics, trustworthiness, and sensitivity in handling confidential financial information.
