Accountant - UAE National

Job Overview

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Accountant of Emirati nationality to be a part of our Finance department. This role involves managing essential accounting tasks, ensuring the precision of financial documentation, assisting with audit processes, and ensuring compliance with UAE legislation and internal financial controls.

Key Duties

• Administer daily accounting tasks such as general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Independently manage month-end and year-end financial closing procedures
• Compile detailed financial statements, reports, and analyses to assist management decision-making
• Ensure the prompt processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Manage VAT submissions, ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations
• Act as a liaison during audit processes with both internal and external auditors
• Ensure strict compliance with company accounting policies and internal control procedures
• Provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
• Collaborate with various departments to maintain financial accuracy and regulatory adherence

Qualifications and Candidate Profile

• Must be an Emirati holding valid family documentation
• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Have a minimum of five years relevant accounting experience within the UAE
• Demonstrate strong familiarity with accounting standards and financial reporting requirements
• Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
