Accountant

Overview

Join our Internal Firm Services (IFS) team in Tashkent as an Accountant playing a vital part in managing the financial stability of our organization. In this role, you will support diverse accounting functions that uphold business operations, directly impacting the firm's financial wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting transactions adhering to Uzbekistan legislation and internal policies.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Oversee principal operational accounting duties such as accounts payable/receivable, vendor payments, expense reimbursement, and payroll assistance.
• Prepare statutory tax filings and financial reports in line with local regulations.
• Assist in internal managerial reporting and financial analysis based on IFRS and corporate standards.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation maintenance for preparedness during internal and external audits.
• Work collaboratively with multiple departments to address finance-related inquiries.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Two to four years of practical accounting experience, preferably with exposure to international firms or professional service environments.

Technical Expertise

• Mandatory proficiency in using 1C: Enterprise software.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel.
• Understanding of National Accounting Standards (NAS) and local tax codes; familiarity with IFRS considered advantageous.

Certifications

Desired progression towards certifications like ACCA, CAP/CIPA, or local auditor/accountant qualifications is encouraged.

Language Requirements

• Fluent Russian language abilities.
• Professional or fluent command of Uzbek.
• Intermediate English skills (B1/B2 level or above) to interact with internal systems and global teams.
