Role Overview
Join Southend Pharma, a pharmaceutical distribution firm, as an Accountant based in Kolkata, India. This role involves handling core accounting functions critical for the finance operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions accurately using accounting software.
- Prepare journal entries, maintain ledgers, and compile trial balances for review.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile suppliers and vendors, and generate reports on outstanding customer balances.
- File GST returns and TDS documentation, and assist during statutory audit processes.
- Oversee petty cash funds, manage cheque collections, and perform bank reconciliations consistently.
- Conduct timely follow-ups on payments with customers to ensure collection efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) in any specialization is required.
