Vikram Design Studio (VDS) is a multidisciplinary firm specializing in architecture, interior design, landscape, and planning, with locations in Kolkata and Guwahati. Since its establishment in 2006, VDS has undertaken projects across various sectors including public, institutional, hospitality, residential, and cultural domains.
Role Overview
The consultancy is seeking a seasoned Accountant skilled in Accounts and Taxation to oversee daily accounting tasks, bookkeeping, GST handling, and taxation duties independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily bookkeeping and overall accounting records.
- Prepare, file, and ensure compliance related to GST regulations.
- Manage TDS, Income Tax, and other mandatory statutory compliances.
- Perform bank reconciliation and maintain ledgers accurately.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable along with monitoring payment schedules.
- Produce financial documentation and reports.
- Liaise with external Chartered Accountant firms for audits and statutory requirements.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 5 years of pertinent experience in accounting and taxation.
- In-depth practical understanding of GST, TDS, and taxation frameworks.
- Capability to independently manage daily accounting operations.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- CA certification is not essential.
- Previous work experience within consultancy or professional service organizations is advantageous.
Compensation and Work Details
Offered package ranges from ₹400000 to ₹440000 per annum. Position is full-time and based on-site in Guwahati.
