Role Overview

We seek an insightful and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our dynamic fashion and ecommerce company located in Mumbai. This full-time, office-based role focuses on meticulous bookkeeping, financial record maintenance, and supporting the business’s financial insights and decision-making. You will work alongside the Founder and management to oversee day-to-day accounting, assist monthly reporting, and contribute to cash flow forecasting and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately maintain bookkeeping, ledgers, and financial records
• Handle accounts payable and receivable operations
• Prepare and monitor supplier payments and customer collections
• Reconcile bank statements, payment gateways, and transactions
• Process payroll, reimbursements, and maintain payroll records
• Manage inventory records and assist in landed-cost calculations
• Support monthly financial closing and report preparations
• Assist in cash-flow forecasting and budgeting activities
• Audit expenses to spot errors, duplicates, or unusual trends
• Conduct supplier research and aid in quotation and cost negotiations
• Organize financial documents for statutory compliance and year-end reporting
• Collaborate with the Founder to identify improvements and resolve discrepancies
• Utilize AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance reporting, reconciliations, and workflows
• Adapt to new business systems as company operations evolve

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce, finance, or related discipline
• Approximately 2-4 years of hands-on accounting experience
• Strong grasp of bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Experience managing accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Proficiency with Tally software and Microsoft Excel
• Competent in monthly closing and supporting financial reporting processes
• Excellent numerical skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to maintain well-organized and accurate records
• Confident in communicating discrepancies and proactively following up
• Motivated to learn Shopify, ecommerce payment platforms, and AI-enhanced workflows
• Prior experience in fashion, ecommerce, retail, or manufacturing sectors is beneficial but not mandatory

Additional Information

• Location: Oshiwara, Andheri West, Mumbai
• Timings: Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Full-time, office-based role
• Salary: INR 30,000 to 35,000 per month
• Applicants must have 2-4 years of accounting experience; significantly less or more experience may not be considered
• Practical accounting and Excel assessment required during recruitment focusing on reconciliation, accuracy, problem-solving, and detecting financial anomalies
