Role Overview
The position is a full-time on-site Accountant role based in Abu Dhabi. Core duties include overseeing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate general ledgers, and performing account reconciliations across multiple hospitality outlets. The Accountant will prepare both monthly and annual financial reports, assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, and monitor operational costs to enhance profitability and efficiency. Key responsibilities also involve processing accounts payable and receivable, tracking revenue streams, ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations and company policies, and supporting internal and external audits. Collaboration with operations, procurement, and management teams is essential to provide timely financial analysis and advice.
Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in fundamental accounting practices such as general ledger maintenance, reconciliation, and financial statement compilation.
- Competence in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial data analysis to inform business decisions.
- Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills, including experience with ERP or hospitality-specific financial systems.
- Solid knowledge of UAE financial legislation, tax laws, and compliance procedures.
- Strong organizational capabilities alongside effective time management and problem-solving skills to manage multiple venues and deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail ensuring accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively across various teams.
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines; professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are advantageous.
- Prior work experience in hospitality, food and beverage, or multi-outlet environments within the UAE is highly desirable.
