Role Overview

This full-time remote position as an Accountant involves overseeing daily financial and accounting functions. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining general ledgers, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and corporate accounts, and assisting in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closures. The role further encompasses generating financial statements and reports, aiding budgeting and forecasting efforts, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards, tax laws, and internal policies. Collaboration with internal teams and responsiveness to financial inquiries are essential, as is contributing to the enhancement of accounting systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, general ledger administration, and financial reporting capabilities.
• Proficiency with accounting software and digital tools such as ERP platforms and spreadsheets.
• Practical experience in managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, and closing accounts at month and year end.
• Skills in financial data analysis, budgeting support, forecasting, and delivering clear data-centric insights.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, with commitment to maintaining strong internal controls.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work collaboratively with remote teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; professional accreditations such as CPA or CMA are desirable.
• Experience in trading or commerce sectors and knowledge of pertinent tax and regulatory requirements are advantageous.
