With a track record of supporting over 12,000 business setups, they also provide advisory services focused on growth strategies, diversification, and facilitating access to government funding.
Role Overview
We are looking for an Accountant to manage the daily financial operations across our Australian and United States entities. This full-time position demands expertise in accounting procedures and regulatory compliance specific to these regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage weekly payroll processing for Australian and US branches, ensuring strict adherence to statutory requirements including PAYGW, Superannuation, and Payroll Tax.
- Conduct month-end accounting duties such as maintaining precise records in Xero, performing bank reconciliations, managing fixed assets, and handling intercompany transactions.
- Track bank balances, prepare cash flow forecasts via Float, and oversee accounts payable and receivable operations.
- Generate weekly management reports covering KPIs, productivity metrics, and cash runway to assist leadership in decision-making.
- Handle tax and regulatory compliance activities including coordinating BAS, PAYGW, WorkCover submissions and acting as the liaison with tax consultants and auditors.
Qualifications and Skills
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated practical experience managing comprehensive payroll cycles, reconciliations, cash flow projection, and adherence to tax regulations.
- Strong proficiency using Xero accounting software, Float for cash flow forecasting, and Excel or Google Sheets for data handling.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian payroll tax legislation and compliance standards.
- Experience working with multi-entity or international financial operations, particularly between Australia and the USA, is strongly preferred.
