The company is expanding its presence in the Middle East and is seeking a seasoned finance expert to spearhead its accounting department.
Role Overview
This senior-level position demands a CPA-certified accountant with robust expertise in UAE accounting standards, VAT, and Corporate Tax. The successful candidate will oversee complete financial operations ensuring meticulous accuracy in invoicing, financial reporting, and statutory adherence for entities located in UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations to guarantee financial integrity.
- Produce precise financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis reflecting the company's true financial status.
- Implement flawless invoicing processes, oversee revenue recognition, and manage job costing effectively.
- Administer UAE VAT returns, audits, and maintain full compliance with Federal Tax Authority regulations.
- Handle Corporate Tax matters in UAE, including calculation, filing, and record keeping.
- Maintain orderly balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements.
- Leverage Zoho Books/Zoho Finance software to optimize finance operations for UAE and KSA subsidiaries.
- Establish and sustain robust internal controls, standard operating procedures, and prepare for audits to ensure compliance readiness.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, banks, and regulatory agencies to uphold company interests.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support executive decision-making and strategic planning.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Mandatory CPA certification with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a pertinent discipline.
- Over five years of accounting experience prominently featuring UAE financial regulations and fiscal systems.
- Demonstrated mastery of UAE VAT legislation and Corporate Tax processes.
- Exceptional precision in invoicing and financial documentation to avoid errors.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting procedures and compliance frameworks applicable in Dubai and across UAE.
- Skilled user of Zoho Books or similar ERP platforms coupled with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience managing accounting records for multiple entities involving cross-border considerations between UAE and KSA.
- Previous exposure to accounting in service-oriented or professional services sectors is advantageous.
