The current opportunity is for an Accountant position supporting Talabat's innovative Grocery Store "tmart," a cloud-based store pioneering rapid 30-minute grocery deliveries at hypermarket pricing.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage invoicing tasks and reconcile supplier account statements, addressing discrepancies for both trading and non-trading suppliers; maintain compliance with supplier business reviews involving rebates and credit notes.
• Create and consistently reconcile supplier accounts ensuring account accuracy.
• Conduct cost analyses for products and items.
• Oversee supplier payment request processing to maintain precise account records.
• Investigate and resolve claim issues with local suppliers.
• Coordinate regular inventory counts adhering to established procedures to assure compliance.
• Conduct valuations of warehouse and store inventory, including ageing analysis to monitor asset control.
• Generate inventory performance reports to clearly communicate current inventory status.
• Prepare journal vouchers related to prepaid expenses, accruals, and operating expenses (OPEX).

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of three years' experience in accountancy and finance sectors with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Solution-focused mindset, contributing positively rather than creating obstacles.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, capable of motivating various teams and stakeholders towards common goals.
• Experienced in engaging with senior executives and adept at managing diverse stakeholder expectations.
• Adaptive and eager to embrace new challenges and learning opportunities daily.
• Exceptional analytical capabilities coupled with strong communication skills and hands-on experience with various tools.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is highly preferred.
