Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking an Accountant to oversee financial operations related to printing and publishing services. This role involves managing accounts, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with taxation laws specific to print media transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed accounts, ledgers, and all financial records relevant to printing and publishing activities.
• Prepare invoices, enter purchase transactions, and maintain payment records for paper suppliers, printers, and other vendors.
• Manage compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable tax regulations concerning print media dealings.
• Track printing expenses including paper usage and production costs to control budgets.
• Generate monthly financial statements such as profit and loss accounts and balance sheets.
• Process vendor payments, perform bank reconciliations, and manage cash flow efficiently.
• Collaborate with production, sales, and distribution teams to consolidate financial data.
• Ensure all printing orders, dispatches, and billing documents are accurately recorded and maintained.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficiency with Tally or similar accounting software.
• Sound understanding of GST laws and general tax compliance.
• Strong Excel skills with capability in financial reporting.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Basic knowledge or experience within the printing or publishing industry is advantageous.

Education and Eligibility

Candidates should possess a B.Com or M.Com degree or an equivalent accounting qualification.

Experience ranging from one to three years in accounting, ideally in printing, publishing, or media sectors, is preferred.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges between 30,000 and 40,000 INR per month.
