Accountant (Export & Manufacturing)

Job Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and seasoned Accountant to oversee the comprehensive financial management of our medical disposable manufacturing and export business. This role involves maintaining financial records, managing export documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and generating financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough and accurate accounting books including sales, purchases, expenses, and inventory records.
• Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, along with bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
• Manage export-related documentation such as invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, and e-way bills.
• Coordinate operations with Customs House Agents (CHA) and freight forwarding partners.
• Ensure adherence to export regulations, DGFT, and RBI policies.
• Handle Letter of Undertaking (LUT), GST refunds, and export-related benefits including duty drawbacks.
• Prepare and file GST returns including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B and manage TDS and income tax compliance alongside audits.
• Maintain inventory management for medical disposable products like IV sets and gloves, supervising stock movements and valuation.
• Conduct product costing analysis and margin reviews.
• Process payroll and statutory compliances such as PF and ESIC where applicable.
• Support internal as well as external audit activities.
• Produce MIS reports aiding management in decision-making and oversee budgeting and forecasting functions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com/M.Com).
• 2 to 5 years of work experience in accounting within manufacturing and export environments.
• Proficient knowledge of GST, TDS, and export protocols.
• Experience with accounting software like Tally, Busy, or ERP systems.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
• High attention to detail coupled with analytical thinking.

Preferred Background

• Prior experience in the medical disposable or pharmaceutical sector.
• Understanding of international trade and handling of foreign currency transactions.
• Familiarity with DGFT regulations and export incentives.
