Role Overview
The Accountant will be entrusted with handling the showroom's daily financial record-keeping, ensuring precision and timeliness in all accounting operations. The candidate needs to be dependable, methodical, and adept at independently managing accounting functions in a vibrant retail environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep precise day-to-day accounting records reflecting showroom operations.
- Record and validate transactions related to sales, purchases, expenses, payments, and receipts.
- Manage daily cash and banking activities with proper documentation.
- Prepare invoices, bills, vouchers, receipts, and maintain comprehensive financial documents.
- Update ledgers regularly and reconcile bank and account statements.
- Track daily sales and ensure accurate accounting entries.
- Monitor outstanding payments and receivables carefully.
- Organize and file accounting records systematically.
- Contribute to preparation of periodic financial reports at daily, weekly, and monthly intervals.
- Collaborate with management for efficient financial transactions and fulfill accounting needs.
- Support month-end closing processes and maintain confidentiality of financial data.
- Assist the showroom team with other administrative and accounting-related tasks as needed.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Female applicants with suitable accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- Strong command of Tally software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- High integrity and responsibility in handling sensitive financial information.
- Comfortable managing cash operations, billing, and financial documentation.
- Capable of independently performing routine accounting duties.
- Good communication, coordination skills, and organizational discipline.
- Ability to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Positive, professional attitude in the workplace.
Preferred experience in: retail accounting, showroom financial operations, garment/textile/fashion industries, billing, cash management, Tally, sales and purchase accounting.
Compensation and Location
The monthly salary ranges from INR 18,000 to INR 20,000 and will depend on individual qualifications and experience. The position is based at the Raymond Showroom in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru.
