Job description

Overview

Sippingsoul Beverages Private Limited, located in Goa, India, is seeking a diligent and experienced Accountant to oversee daily accounting activities, ensure statutory compliance, and manage financial documentation within the company. This full-time role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records in various industries including Café, Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Real Estate, and others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily bookkeeping using Tally or relevant accounting software.
  • Document and verify transactions such as sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, cash, POS systems, and payment gateways.
  • Reconcile transactions from UPI, card payments, Zomato, Swiggy, and other online sales platforms when applicable.
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable records.
  • Verify vendor invoices and preserve appropriate backup documents.
  • Handle petty cash and related reconciliations meticulously.
  • Prepare and maintain GST documentation and support timely GST return submission.
  • Manage TDS computations, deductions, payments, and related filings.
  • Assist with payroll accounting and statutory deductions as necessary.
  • Keep precise records of fixed assets, inventory accounting, and expenses.
  • Collaborate with management during monthly financial closings.
  • Generate and present monthly MIS reports covering profit & loss, expenses, sales, collections, payables, receivables, cash/bank positions, and budget comparisons.
  • Coordinate with the company’s Chartered Accountant, tax consultant, and auditor for statutory compliance, audits, and annual finalization.
  • Ensure all financial transactions have proper authorization and documentation.
  • Identify and promptly report discrepancies, uncommon expenses, unpaid dues, or control issues to the management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and precision of financial data.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess a B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Have 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in accounting.
  • Proficient with Tally Prime, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software.
  • Well-versed with Indian GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, and basic statutory compliance.
  • Experience in hospitality sectors such as restaurants, cafés, or retail is beneficial.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and excellent reconciliation skills.
  • Capable of working autonomously and meeting monthly reporting deadlines.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and coordination abilities.
  • Uphold high standards of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.

Preferred Qualities

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, independently managing accounting entries, reconciliations, document handling, and liaising with Chartered Accountants, rather than focusing solely on supervisory tasks.
