Role Overview

The Accountant will oversee everyday financial operations such as transaction recording, accounts payable and receivable management, and maintaining accurate general ledger entries. Key duties involve the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, conducting bank reconciliations, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The position requires cost monitoring, support in inventory and fixed asset accounting, and ensuring adherence to local financial regulations and company policies. Additionally, the role includes facilitating internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and collaborating closely with operational teams and management to deliver timely financial insights.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in financial accounting, reporting, and ledger management.
• Proficient in handling accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Competent in using accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel/spreadsheet applications.
• Knowledgeable regarding local accounting standards, tax laws, and compliance specific to Qatar or the GCC region.
• Strong numerical accuracy, keen attention to detail, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities, capable of meeting deadlines across departments.
• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area; professional certifications (such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA) are a plus.
• Background in manufacturing, steel fabrication, or engineering industries is preferred.
• Must be able to work full-time, onsite in Doha, maintaining ethical practices and confidentiality.
