Role Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and dependable Accountant fluent in Arabic to join our Finance & Accounting team remotely on a full-time basis. This role encompasses handling daily accounting tasks, maintaining precise financial records, supervising cash flows, producing financial reports, and adhering to relevant accounting standards and corporate policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including monitoring bank accounts, cash, payment cards, and electronic payment systems.
• Execute supplier payments, funds transfers, and fulfill other financial commitments within set deadlines.
• Track day-to-day cash flow and conduct routine reconciliations for bank statements, customers, suppliers, and payment gateways.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, assuring correct records and prompt issue resolution.
• Compile monthly financial reports and verify revenue against sales data, invoicing, and payments received.
• Contribute to monthly and yearly financial closure processes, ensuring records are accurate and comprehensive.
• Prepare annual financial statements and liaise with external auditing teams.
• Support the budgeting process, financial planning initiatives, and monitor actual expenses relative to budgets.
• Comply with accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies.
• Keep financial documents well-organized and collaborate with management and internal teams to facilitate smooth financial operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 to 3 years’ experience in accounting, preferably within the e-commerce or retail sectors.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Strong grounding in accounting principles and the management of financial transactions.
• Knowledge of UAE and KSA tax rules, including VAT compliance.
• Capability to generate financial statements and monthly reports.
• Proficiency in conducting reconciliations across bank, supplier, customer, and payment gateway accounts.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas and financial calculations.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or equivalent platforms.
• High accuracy and attention to detail in maintaining financial records and documentation.
• Effective time management, ability to work independently, and clear communication skills in a remote setting.
