Accountant / Accounts Executive

Job Overview

We are seeking a diligent Accountant / Accounts Executive proficient in Tally to manage detailed accounting for construction-based projects. This role demands handling comprehensive financial records, assisting statutory compliance, and liaising with various stakeholders to maintain financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain precise and comprehensive accounting documentation specific to construction projects.
• Track income, expenditures, and costs on a project-wise basis.
• Record transactions related to material purchases, labor costs, contractor payments, and assorted project expenses.
• Manage accounts for vendors, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Authenticate invoices, bills, payment vouchers, and related paperwork.
• Oversee records pertaining to cash, bank transactions, and expenses.
• Conduct reconciliation of bank statements and ledger accounts.
• Prepare financial statements and reports tailored to individual projects.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payments diligently.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and external parties such as vendors and contractors concerning accounting documentation.
• Support compliance in GST, TDS, and other statutory financial obligations.
• Generate monthly management information system (MIS) reports and project cost statements.
• Ensure all financial documentation related to construction is well-maintained and audit-ready.
• Track expenditures against budgeted amounts and alert management about significant variances.

Additional Information

This role requires a strong accountancy skill set, particularly with Tally software, and experience in construction finance would be advantageous.
