Position Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and proficient Accountant to join our finance department. This role involves managing all financial transactions, ensuring precise record-keeping, and adherence to accounting standards. Your financial expertise will be pivotal in supporting the fiscal health of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports such as balance sheets and income statements for management and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, offering insights to optimize costs and resource allocation.
• Ensure timely compliance with tax regulations and preparation of tax filings including income tax and GST.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Manage cash flow by reconciling bank accounts and monitoring cash transactions.
• Handle vendor payments ensuring timely processing for vendors and contractors.
• Conduct financial data analysis to identify trends and provide strategic insights.
• Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Keep abreast of current accounting standards and industry regulations to ensure compliance.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures to finalize financial reports.
• Monitor project expenses and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
• Use accounting software proficiently to manage financial data and reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA) are advantageous.
• Demonstrable experience working as an Accountant, preferably within civil and construction industries.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.
• High attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all financial documentation.
• Good analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data and trends.
• Effective time management to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills to engage with team members across functions.
• Proficient in accounting software such as Tally, ERP systems, or SAP.
• Problem-solving capability to resolve financial issues and propose solutions.

Additional Information

This role offers a competitive monthly salary ranging between 25,000 and 30,000 INR, with opportunities for growth in a supportive and collaborative environment.
