Accountant

Role Overview

SRG MINING is seeking an experienced Accountant based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to oversee day-to-day accounting functions, support financial reporting activities, and guarantee strict compliance with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, prepare journal entries, and perform account reconciliations.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding vendor and customer balances.
• Compile monthly bank reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare value-added tax (VAT) returns, and assist with Zakat filings according to ZATCA requirements.
• Generate and review electronic invoices compliant with ZATCA (Fatoora) standards.
• Manage payroll processing and reconcile social insurance and worker system (GOSI and Mudad) records.
• Monitor project and exploration expenses against approved budgets.
• Develop financial reports and schedules for management review and external audits.
• Maintain systematic documentation and contribute to strengthening internal controls.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience within Saudi Arabia.
• Practical experience with VAT, Zakat obligations, and ZATCA e-invoicing requirements.
• Solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Proficiency in ERPs or accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Odoo, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Competent English communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Profile

• Background in mining, oil & gas, construction sectors, or project-driven organizations.
• Membership of the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) or progress towards CMA, CPA, or equivalent certification.
