Accountant

Role Overview

We seek an experienced and meticulous accounting and finance expert to oversee comprehensive accounting functions and ensure compliance with statutory requirements in India. The position is based in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• In-depth expertise in Indian accounting standards and procedures.
• Proficient understanding of GST, TDS, payroll, Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and other statutory compliance mandates.
• Knowledgeable about FEMA and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines, particularly for foreign remittances.
• Strong skills in account reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Clear understanding of financial statements and accounting workflows.
• High accuracy and attention to detail in financial operations.
• Capability to handle multiple accounting and compliance tasks independently.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills to meet statutory and managerial reporting deadlines.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication abilities.
• Professional interaction with various stakeholders including customers, suppliers, employees, auditors, consultants, and company management.

Educational Requirements

Mandatory: Bachelor's or master's degree in commerce, accounting, finance, or related disciplines.

Preferred: Professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, ACCA, MBA Finance or similar.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in IT services or IT staffing sectors.
• Background working with software or technology firms.
• Exposure to firms with foreign clients or international operations.
• Handling foreign inward and outward remittances.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting setups.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks or Zoho Books accounting software.
