Company Overview

Our client is part of an international corporation located centrally in Hamburg, with key business activities in financing and leasing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor daily tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank accounting.
• Account assignment, recording, and verification of incoming and outgoing invoices and expense reimbursements.
• Reconcile data between SAP and auxiliary systems (subsidiary ledgers).
• Oversee creditor and debtor accounts and selected balance sheet accounts, resolving outstanding items.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from customers, suppliers, and internal departments as well as questions during year-end audits and other reviews.
• Implement, document, and enhance controls to meet governance requirements; act as contact for compliance, fraud prevention, and anti-money laundering in accounting.
• Create reports and conduct analyses to support finance operations.
• Assist in the management and improvement of IT applications such as electronic invoice management and payment processing tools, including associated workflows.
• Implement new market and back-office requirements and participate in accounting projects.
• Support IT release changes and project implementations by designing, executing, and documenting test cases.

Candidate Profile

• Completed studies in business administration or equivalent qualifications.
• Several years of professional experience in accounting, preferably with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment transactions.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong experience with ERP systems and accounting software, ideally SAP FI.
• IT competence, preferably combined with experience as a key user and tester.
• Familiarity with digitalization and automation initiatives.
• Independent and responsible working style with a strong solution and service orientation.
• Excellent numerical aptitude and analytical thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment in collaborative environments.
• Fluent in German (spoken and written) and good English skills.
