Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive Accountant to fully manage our financial accounts. This role demands comprehensive ownership of accounting activities, ensuring precise financial management aligned with our manufacturing business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting tasks including entries, voucher preparation, ledger maintenance, and reconciliations using Tally and Zoho Books.
• Oversee manufacturing-related accounts such as raw material purchases, inventory management, stock valuation, bill of materials (BOM), production costings, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods accounting.
• Manage compliance with GST including returns filing and input credit reconciliations, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
• Administer receivables, payables, vendor payments, and bank reconciliations efficiently.
• Handle payroll processing and maintain detailed expense tracking.
• Compile monthly management information system (MIS) reports, including profit & loss statements and cash flow analyses using Excel.
• Collaborate with the company's Chartered Accountant for audits, tax submissions, and year-end closure processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possess a Bachelor or Master of Commerce degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Have at least two years of accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge in manufacturing accounting principles covering inventory, costing, and production-related entries.
• Be proficient in Tally, Zoho Books, and advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
• Understand the nuances of GST and TDS regulations thoroughly.
• Exhibit excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, expanding startup setting.

Additional Information

• Work location is strictly onsite in Kolkata.
• The offered annual salary range is INR 300,000 to 400,000, negotiable relative to experience.
• This is a full-time employment opportunity.
