Vashi Impact Group (VIG) is recruiting a diligent and reliable Accountant to join our team in Uganda. The successful candidate will manage accounting functions, financial oversight, taxation, payroll, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements within our Ugandan operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage financial records, accounting, and reporting.
• Ensure statutory compliance with Ugandan tax regulations and authorities including URA and URSB.
• Prepare management accounts and financial statements.
• Handle payroll processes and statutory deductions such as VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, and NSSF.
• Utilize accounting software and maintain accurate financial data.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in Uganda.
• Practical knowledge of Uganda’s tax laws and statutory compliance.
• Hands-on experience working with Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB).
• Strong understanding of VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, NSSF, and corporate statutory requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
