About the Role
This permanent full-time position based in Masterton involves a dynamic mix of sales and account management responsibilities. You will spend a significant portion of your workday visiting customers, managing an existing portfolio, and actively pursuing new clients to expand market share in the Wairarapa region.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities with both current and prospective customers.
- Maintaining consistent communication to stay proactive and meet customer needs.
- Coordinating with internal teams to provide information on stock availability, delivery schedules, and pricing.
- Participating in industry and trade events to remain informed on market trends.
- Building strong ties within the local community and increasing brand presence.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in sales, account management, and/or business development roles.
- Familiarity with the building industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent organizational capabilities.
- Possesses a strong sales drive coupled with resilience and a solution-focused mindset.
- Disciplined and proactive in growing and maintaining a diverse client base.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a strong work ethic.
- Community-oriented with an emphasis on building sustainable and trustworthy relationships.
- Holds a clean, full New Zealand driver’s license.
