About the Role
The Account Manager will oversee a portfolio typically comprising around 100 medium-sized accounts, aiming to meet assigned sales goals through effective relationship-building and strategic planning. This role involves driving sales of all solutions by collaborating with internal partners and crafting strategies to expand revenue streams both within existing clients and by acquiring new customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing strategic accounts, particularly large, multi-location, complex, and high-profile customers, by developing detailed sales plans and processes that align with client objectives.
- Maintaining a deep understanding of customer needs and their decision-making frameworks to continuously assess and address requirements proactively.
- Leading strategic account planning that sets mutual objectives, financial targets, and key milestones.
- Employing advanced knowledge of supply chain solutions and design processes to promote value-added, long-term offerings that boost profitability and maximize margins.
- Conducting Quarterly Business Review meetings with major clients to evaluate performance and opportunities.
- Providing customers with accurate quotes and ensuring the proper processing of orders.
- Collaborating closely with the Global Commodity Management team to share and develop market intelligence, including data on customers, market trends, and supply-demand dynamics.
- Collecting pricing information from Global Procurement teams to build competitive sales proposals and securing global supply based on market conditions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Typically requires completion of a four-year degree.
- Minimum of five years relevant work experience in sales or account management within technology or electronics domains.
Job Complexity
- Possesses strong knowledge of relevant disciplines while continuing to acquire advanced expertise.
- Understands organizational processes and customer needs, solving a broad range of problems with moderate supervision.
- Capable of addressing complex issues independently using established procedures, requiring limited guidance.
