Role Overview
As an Account Executive at Brandwatch, a Cision company, your responsibility will be to spearhead business opportunity generation and manage the sales pipeline. You will research prospects, engage potential clients, qualify sales leads, and work to close deals within New Zealand, representing our SaaS brand at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the initial point of engagement for potential clients and represent Brandwatch professionally.
- Maintain awareness of developments in the social media industry and broader market landscape.
- Develop in-depth expertise on Brandwatch’s brand, business model, and software products.
- Manage the entire sales process from first contact through to deal closure within the New Zealand region.
- Generate and nurture leads using platforms including Salesloft, Salesforce, LinkedIn, and Cognism.
- Conduct discovery calls, product demos, and commercial negotiations with prospective clients.
- Perform approximately 120 targeted outbound prospecting activities weekly to advance sales opportunities.
- Maintain and advance a pipeline, moving deals through each sales cycle stage.
- Participate actively in company training and development initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated success in managing complete sales cycles with experience selling multiple products.
- Skilled at engaging with mid-market and enterprise clients and navigating procurement processes.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Highly motivated with a determination to exceed targets, accompanied by a positive attitude.
- Take ownership and execute responsibilities reliably.
- Coachability and self-awareness to grow professionally.
- A collaborative team player mindset, valuing teamwork.
- Capability to perform in a quota-driven environment characterized by longer and complex sales processes.
- Proven track record of managing and successfully closing deals.
