Job description
Company Overview
Established in Sydney in 2014, ezyCollect by Sidetrade is Australia's premier Order-to-Cash platform focused on small to mid-sized businesses. Our technology streamlines credit management, collections, and payment processes, significantly reducing manual effort in payment collection. With a clientele of over 1,100 businesses managing A$19 billion in receivables through our platform, customers generally observe a 40% reduction in late payments and an 80% decrease in bad debt within just three months.
As part of the global AI leader Sidetrade, we're expanding across three continents while maintaining our innovative roots in Sydney.
Role Purpose
Amidst heightened demand facilitated by Sidetrade's global presence, ezyCollect is recruiting Account Executives to capitalize on this growth. The role involves owning the entire sales cycle—from lead discovery to negotiation and deal closure—helping mid-market enterprises modernize cash flow management through consultative selling.
Team Environment
Joining a streamlined and cooperative sales team characterized by a flat hierarchy and open communication, you'll have opportunities to expand geographically or transition to enterprise-level sales as the Australian market grows. Collaboration extends to working with Business Development Representatives (BDRs), Customer Success, Marketing, and Technical teams with an emphasis on collective success and feedback-driven product development.
Responsibilities
- Generate revenue by transforming qualified leads into customers through consultative selling and compelling product demonstrations, both virtual and face-to-face.
- Initially source leads personally, transitioning to primarily BDR and partner-supplied opportunities.
- Engage with financial and operational stakeholders such as CFOs, Financial Controllers, and Credit Managers to quantify automation benefits and faster cash flow.
- Manage the full sales process, including discovery, solution mapping, objection handling, personalized proposals, and commercial agreements.
- Maintain up-to-date pipeline data, forecast accurately, and log activities in HubSpot CRM.
- Ensure smooth deal handoffs and post-sale support by coordinating with Customer Success teams, monitoring customer satisfaction within the first 90 days.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine strategies, provide market feedback for innovation, and contribute to improving sales processes and messaging.
- Take initiative in exploring new ideas, whether through channel partnerships, events, product input, or outreach experiments beyond sales quotas.
- Keep CRM records precise and submit expense reports promptly as part of operational routines.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 years of consultative sales experience, preferably within SaaS or fintech sectors selling B2B accounting/ERP systems, payment technologies, or related business applications.
- Proven ability managing complete sales cycles, advancing deals from discovery through to closure.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, chiefly HubSpot, and familiarity with sales enablement technologies like Winn.AI and knowledge bases such as Confluence.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills, comfortable addressing diverse stakeholders including CFOs and technical teams in both in-person and virtual settings.
- Demonstrated resilience, diligence, and data-driven focus thriving in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Technology and Tools Used
- CRM: HubSpot for pipeline and deal management
- Sales Enablement: Winn.AI for conversation intelligence and call coaching; Confluence for playbooks
