Job description
About WeTravel and the Role
WeTravel is expanding its presence in Australia, focusing on empowering multi-day and group tour operators by simplifying their booking and payment processes. The Account Executive will be a foundational member of the newly established local team, working to unlock growth opportunities in this emerging market. This position involves building genuine client relationships within the travel and fintech sectors.
Work Approach and Responsibilities
The role encompasses managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting and discovery calls to product demonstrations, deal closures, and coordinated handoffs to the onboarding team. Collaborating closely with colleagues, you will tailor WeTravel's solutions to meet client-specific needs, helping customers realize how the platform enhances business success. Key activities include actively sourcing prospects, delivering product demos, nurturing sales pipelines, closing deals to surpass targets, and relaying client feedback to the product development team.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants have at least two years of B2B sales experience within SaaS or the travel sector, primarily in the Australia/APAC region. Proficiency in English is required, and additional language skills are advantageous. Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling capabilities are essential, alongside comfort with outbound calls and managing full sales cycles. Self-driven, goal-oriented candidates who thrive in fast-paced, autonomous environments and are open to up to 10% travel for client engagements will excel.
Conditions and Benefits
This role requires legal authorization to work in Australia; visa sponsorship or relocation aid is not available. Employees enjoy superannuation benefits, a flexible hybrid working schedule with a minimum of four days at the office (providing access to WeWork facilities), and the option to work remotely for up to four weeks annually. The organization offers unlimited paid time off to recharge, an annual visit to the Amsterdam headquarters for 2-4 weeks with accommodation, paid family leave, three days of paid volunteer time per year, and a comprehensive two-week cross-functional onboarding program. Cutting-edge tools and an international, adventurous team culture support success.
Additional Notes
WeTravel values diversity and inclusion, emphasizing equal opportunity hiring. Candidates thriving in self-managed, proactive roles with a passion for travel and innovation are encouraged to apply.
