Job description
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Engineer specializing in Quality Assurance to perform thorough manual testing of web applications focused on adherence to WCAG accessibility standards. This role involves collaborating closely with development teams to accurately identify, reproduce, and address accessibility defects.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute detailed manual tests on web applications to uncover defects and verify compliance with WCAG guidelines.
- Work alongside developers to replicate issues and facilitate their resolution effectively.
- Create comprehensive test plans, draft test cases, and design test data specifically for mobile apps running on Android and iOS platforms.
- Perform voice-over recordings for software using screen reader tools such as NVDA.
Required Qualifications
- Between 5 to 10 years of experience in quality assurance engineering or in a related discipline.
- In-depth understanding and application of Computerized Closed Captioning (CCA) standards for accessible video content.
- Expertise in using the JAWS screen reader software for accessibility testing of websites.
