Role Overview

The Academic Counselor role based in Patna is full-time and on-site. The individual will play a crucial role in guiding students and their parents towards selecting the right courses, devising study plans, and comprehending the requirements of Bihar Board exams. Daily duties encompass conducting individual and group counseling sessions, monitoring academic progress, and offering guidance aligned with the Bihar Board syllabus. The counselor will also provide career advice, collaborate with teachers to tackle learning difficulties, maintain detailed records of counseling sessions and student development, and work together with center staff to foster a nurturing and inclusive educational environment. Additionally, they will support outreach efforts to promote Edural Classes' offerings.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in student counseling and academic advising tailored to facilitate academic planning and enhance student outcomes.
• Strong communication abilities to engage effectively with students, parents, and educators.
• Expertise in career counseling to guide students on further education and career options.
• A robust understanding of educational principles, preferably with knowledge of Bihar Board curricula and secondary education methodologies.
• Relevant academic credentials such as bachelor's or master's degrees in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or related domains are advantageous.
• Previous experience in educational counseling, coaching institutes, or advisory roles is preferred.
• Capability to establish rapport and trust with students from varied backgrounds while maintaining confidentiality and utilizing basic digital tools for documentation and progress tracking.
