AC Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled AC Technician experienced in installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing various air conditioning systems including split, window, cassette, ductable, and VRF/VRV models. The candidate will handle diagnostics, electrical and mechanical fault repairs, refrigerant management, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain different air conditioning systems such as split, window, cassette, ductable, and VRF/VRV units.
• Diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical components of AC equipment.
• Handle repair and replacement of compressors, condensers, evaporators, blower motors, thermostats, PCB boards, and other parts.
• Perform refrigerant gas charging, recovery, leak detection, and carry out pressure testing.
• Conduct scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Clean filters, coils, drain lines, condenser units, and other components regularly.
• Verify electrical connections, monitor voltage, current, and overall system performance.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and job completion reports.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and use appropriate tools and personal protective equipment.
• Respond promptly to customer or site complaints and complete service requests within stipulated timelines.
• Collaborate effectively with supervisors and other maintenance personnel as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• ITI or Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical, or a related technical discipline.
• Between 1 to 5 years of practical experience as an AC/HVAC Technician.
• Strong understanding of AC installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.
• Knowledgeable in electrical circuits and fundamental refrigeration concepts.
• Proficient in using electrical and HVAC testing instruments.
• Able to independently identify faults and execute repairs.
• Good communication abilities and customer service orientation.
• Willing to travel to various customer locations or project sites as needed.

Working Conditions

The technician may be required to work in commercial buildings, residential sites, factories, construction areas, or other client premises. At times, duties might extend beyond normal hours or include overtime work, especially to address emergency breakdowns.
