A/C Technician

Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Maintenance professional to join our team as an A/C Technician. The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service and comes up with innovative solutions for our guests' comfort and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair temperature control and air quality systems throughout the hotel.
• Handle maintenance and technical service for all electrical and mechanical refrigeration equipment including freezers, refrigerators, ice makers, fan coil units, and chillers.
• Implement preventive maintenance routines on all air-conditioning and refrigeration units.
• Evaluate the functioning of refrigeration systems and their components consistently.
• Inspect and ensure proper operation of door closing mechanisms on walk-in coolers and freezers, including door gaskets and latches.
• Maintain defrosting systems and automate ice maker operations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various hotel departments.
• Conduct regular cleaning of fan coil units and filters in air-handling units.
• Check performance levels of air-conditioning and chilled water systems to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate closely with engineering team members to diagnose and resolve failures and optimize system functions.
• Monitor and strictly control the release of CFCs into the atmosphere, ensuring environmental compliance.
• Carry out overhauls of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment as necessary.
• Monitor refrigeration oil levels, oversee major repairs and coordinate with storekeepers for purchasing necessary parts.
• Perform all tasks in alignment with local technical regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma in refrigeration system maintenance or building services engineering preferred.
• Prior experience in similar roles demonstrating strong knowledge of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment operation and upkeep.
• Good command of English language both spoken and written.
• Ability to diagnose faults accurately and repair subsystems efficiently.
