AC Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install air conditioning units including split, window, package ACs, and VRF systems by securely mounting units, connecting refrigerant piping, and wiring electrical components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant system faults using tools such as multimeters, manifold gauges, and leak detectors.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, washing coils, clearing drain lines, and checking system pressures to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct repairs which may involve replacing compressors, fan motors, capacitors, PCBs, and repairing leaks through brazing or patching.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, parts replacement, and customer consents using dispatch or CRM platforms.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent coupled with a certified vocational training or apprenticeship in HVAC technology.
• Possession of relevant certifications like ITI in Refrigeration is necessary.
• Comprehensive knowledge of thermodynamics principles, reading electrical diagrams, and understanding mechanical component assemblies.
• Physical capability to work in restricted areas, at elevated locations, under diverse weather conditions, and to handle lifting of heavy equipment.
• Strong customer interaction skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and a valid driving license to conduct fieldwork.
