Job description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled 5-Axis CNC Miller, preferably apprenticeship qualified, to join a precision engineering company based in Welwyn Garden City. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from £46,000 to £54,000 annually plus overtime, with consistent working hours Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The successful candidate will have a clear career progression pathway towards a Team Leader position with potential earnings up to £70,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce precision components.
- Manufacture parts to engineering drawings ensuring all components meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Inspect components to maintain accuracy and quality control.
- Collaborate effectively with the engineering team to achieve production goals.
- Continuously develop technical machining expertise and leadership capabilities aimed at progressing into a Team Leader role.
Candidate Profile
- Completion of an apprenticeship in CNC machining, mechanical engineering, or allied engineering disciplines.
- Experienced in CNC milling, specifically with 5-axis machinery.
- Proficient in setting and operating CNC machines.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand precision machining requirements.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and dependable work ethic.
