Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced 3D Surface Modelling Engineer skilled in CATIA V5 to join our team at Paramtech Cad Services in Kanchipuram, India. This role involves developing and refining detailed 3D CAD models, generating precise 2D manufacturing drawings, and collaborating closely with multiple departments to ensure design accuracy and manufacturing feasibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify complex 3D surface models using CATIA V5 software.
- Produce accurate 2D manufacturing drawings including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and detailed dimensioning.
- Interpret and implement customer requirements and engineering specifications effectively.
- Prepare Bills of Material (BOM) alongside comprehensive engineering documentation.
- Liaise with manufacturing, quality assurance, and project teams to synchronize efforts and resolve issues.
- Manage engineering change processes, design revisions, and continuous design improvements.
- Maintain organized engineering data and documentation via Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial Equipment, or Heavy Engineering.
- Proficient hands-on experience in CATIA V5 Surface Modelling techniques.
- Familiarity with 2D drafting and application of GD&T standards.
