Business Support Officer | 7940 | Fixed Term Contract until 30 April 2026 | 37 hours per week | £25,584 to £27,269 per annum (Scale E) | County Hall
The purpose of the Business Support Officer is to support the Soft Service Manager in ensuring that services from soft service contractors deliver against Service Level Agreements, Operational Procedures and standards. These services are delivered across a portfolio of nearly 300 sites. This role is also meant to help onboard and off board existing and new suppliers. Soft FM means the delivery of contracts relating to corporate cleaning, waste, security, catering etc.

As part of our Corporate Property Team, you’ll work closely with the Soft Services Manager to ensure that key services—such as cleaning, security, waste management, and catering—meet service level agreements (SLAs), standards, and operational procedures (SOPs). With nearly 300 sites to support, your role will be crucial in managing suppliers, onboarding new contracts, and ensuring smooth service transitions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting contract management – assist in the mobilisation of new contracts and the demobilisation of existing ones.
- Ensuring compliance – track contractor performance against SLAs and standards.
- Supplier coordination – assist in onboarding and offboarding suppliers.
- Stakeholder engagement – liaise with contractors, internal teams, and senior managers.
- Administrative excellence – manage emails, record minutes, prepare reports, and maintain key documentation.
- Financial oversight – assist in invoice checks and contract compliance.
- Project coordination – support the planning and rollout of new soft services across multiple locations.
What We’re Looking For
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Some knowledge of soft FM services (cleaning, security, catering, etc.) is a plus!
