Job Description
The Eating Disorders team is a specialist service, based at Mawson House, who work with groups of young people (aged between 0-18 years) who have an eating disorder, and their families. The most common eating disorders are Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia and Binge Eating Disorder (which is also known as BED). The role of the team is to support young people to help them to recover from their eating disorder using evidenced based intervention. Treatment typically lasts between 12-18 months.
We are seeking a very knowledgeable & experienced Senor Business Assistant . The Senior Business Assistant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our administrative processes, providing essential support and line management to the admin staff.

Job Description Summary (Main Duties And Responsibilities)
Leadership & Line Management
- Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of the administrative team.
- Supervise, mentor, and support admin staff, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Conduct regular one-to-ones, performance appraisals, and objective setting.
- Effectively manage workloads, delegating tasks appropriately to ensure efficiency.
- Handle staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development.
- Address and resolve performance or conduct issues in line with HR policies.
Operational & Administrative Management
- Oversee and coordinate the team’s administrative duties to ensure smooth operations.
- Act as a key point of contact for administrative queries, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Maintain accurate records, data, and reports in line with compliance and governance requirements.
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained within the team.
Communication & Collaboration
- Liaise with senior management, clinical teams, and external stakeholders as required.
- Ensure clear and effective communication within the admin team and across departments.
- Support the implementation of new policies, systems, and procedures.
