Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct proactive business development aligned with the division’s strategy in countries where business conditions require increased attention and focus. Each day, you will provide business support, including expertise in products, applications, solutions, and segment and customer (group) support for the assigned product portfolio. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring profitable business growth and sustainable deployment of the division’s strategic plan.

This role is contributing to the {electrification} in {UAE}.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • The Sales of Emergency Lighting in Electrification Smart Buildings UAE, Gulf, Oman, Kuwait, Egypt to drive sales volumes and margins, growth via system integrators and distribution Channel.
  • Meets or Exceeds Sales Targets and its associated Key Performance Indicators.
  • Provide product demonstrations for specifiers, contractors, distributors, end users and agent partners.
  • Target and contact key architects, interior designers, electrical engineers, and electrical distributors.
  • Work with territory contractors and channel partners to surround and successfully close opportunities.
  • Executes Emergency Lighting Plan jointly formulated with Sales Manager.
  • Become the Emergency Lighting Products Sales Expert supporting territory needs and increase business
  • Be involved with launch of new products and deployment, working with product manager to meet market needs
  • Increase trade shows, customer days, and maintain displays at our customers facilities.
  • Identify business opportunities, log these opportunities in ABB SFDC CRM, and maintain the opportunity pipeline.

Qualifications For The Role

  • 3+ Years of Commercial and Industrial market segment experience.
  • 3+ years of experience of strategic account management.
  • Must have excellent oral, written, and verbal presentation skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel
  • Strong organizational skills while being able to manage multiple business relationships.
  • Technical abilities in using Excel, Word and PowerPoint programs.
  • Good Knowledge of Emergency Lighting products, CPS, Self-Contained, addressable and self-test system.
  • Good understanding of the customers’ problems, needs, challenges and technology, industry-specific knowledge preferred.
  • Good insights on competitive landscape, competitors’ offering, and competitors’ go-to-market model.
  • Good capacity to listen with analytical and technical skills.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills with great negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Autonomous, entrepreneurial & team spirit.
  • Current driving license valid for region and specific VISA/work permit, where required
