Job Description
- Coordinate and lead monthly calls and reporting with the Global Sales team, ensuring alignment on priorities and goals.
Supplier Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier engagement and relationship-building initiatives.
- Manage the onboarding process for new suppliers, ensuring compliance and maintaining an up-to-date supplier network.
- Establish and maintain greater control over the supplier list, ensuring its accuracy and effectiveness in meeting business needs.
- Plan and execute supplier roadshows to strengthen relationships and explore innovative solutions with key suppliers.
- Work with Operational and Finance Teams to manage escalated invoice/payment issues and resolve supplier disputes.
Procurement Management
- Oversee the management of suppliers with the highest spend, focusing on:
- Negotiating favorable payment terms to improve cash flow.
- Securing rebates and maximizing financial benefits.
- Managing turnover agreements to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Conduct regular reviews of the supplier base to identify risks, improve relationships, and explore new partnerships.
- Develop a check-up list for simplified items (e.g., wobbles, posters, displays) to streamline procurement processes for tenders and ensure operational efficiency.
- Lead procurement auctions to foster competitive bidding and secure optimal pricing.
- Take ownership of procurement-related projects and initiatives that are currently under-resourced.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and best practices across all activities.
Qualifications
- Fluent English speaker.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a marketing-related procurement environment across a range of categories.
- Proven track record of implementing company contracts and sourcing policies with the supply chain.
- Experience building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, with the ability to challenge the status quo.
- High-energy, highly motivated individual with excellent purchasing experience, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement systems and tools; experience with auctions is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
