Summary / Objective

The Quantity Surveyor at Cache is responsible for managing all scope and project costs, ensuring financial efficiency, and delivering high-quality commercial management throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves cost estimation, contract administration, procurement, and risk analysis to optimize resource allocation while maintaining the highest industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Cost Estimation & Planning: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budget forecasts for projects, ensuring alignment with each project’s objectives.
  • Tendering & Procurement: Manage the tendering process, evaluate supplier bids, and negotiate to secure the best value.
  • Contract Management: Handle variations and prepare change orders.
  • Financial Reporting: Monitor project costs and prepare reports for senior management, highlighting financial risks and opportunities.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify potential financial risks in projects and communicate to the project management team.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, design managers, Business development team, account managers, clients and suppliers as needed.
  • Cost Control & Value Engineering: Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and performance standards.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to company standard.
  • Manage and oversee the preparation and checking of bill of quantities with our international offices.
  • Oversee and prepare client quotations for interior design projects.
  • Prepare and oversee vendor quotations for interior design projects.
  • Collaborate in other tasks as needed.

Requirements And Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of bill of quantity preparation, interior estimation and procurement.
  • Strong ability to understand complex and cutting-edge interior design documentation.
  • Proficiency in Excel, cost estimation software and financial modelling tools.
  • Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple project bids simultaneously in a multicultural environment and across different time zones

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Knowledge in architecture, or extensive field knowledge in interiors is a plus.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within logistics, supply chain, or interior fit-out projects.

Work Location:

  • In corporate officed in McMurray, PA with travel as and when necessary (mostly international)

License/Certification

  • Valid Driver’s License and Passport required
