- Support visual design and monitor Communications & Design inbox; responding to inquiries and requests in a timely manner and with a client-first attitude.
- Work closely with senior designers and manager to evaluate and accept requests, understand parameters, set and meet deadlines, and continually communicate requests as they are received to identify priorities and collaborate to deliver exceptional client service.
- Communicate, collaborate, problem solve, and brainstorm with design colleagues and the communications team regarding strategy, project scope, language, and any current or potential issues that may impact a project’s final output.
- Develop expertise in and advocate for the firm’s visual brand. Using design team-approved direction to apply the brand identity system, typography, photography, colors, and styles.
- Work with the design team to pinpoint opportunities for improvement.
- Guide assignments from concept to completion implementation for print, web, and/or email; including art direction, drafting, working with writers and proofreaders, and seeking approvals.
- Assist in evolving creative processes, suggest new technology, and push boundaries within existing brand guidelines.
- Use, update, and contribute to branded templates.
- Perform basic editing for internal videos and podcasts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- 2-4 years of design experience, preferably within a law firm, Agency or professional services environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts or Graphic Design required. Work experience in lieu of a degree considered.
- Experience and knowledge of UX and UI design, HTML, CSS, offset printing, video editing, and animating graphic preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of design support from client pitch decks and presentations, HTML, web, digital channels, video, social media, print advertising, and more.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Confident presentation skills with the ability to project goals and bring stories to life through design.
- Strong attention to detail, client service and follow through skills.
- Effective listening skills with the ability to take direction and integrate feedback in the team.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commit to personal, professional, and team growth by researching, learning, and sharing current technical knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and also part of a team.
- Comfortable working on a PC/Windows platform.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Experience with Adobe Express a plus).

In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position, depending on location, is as follows:
- Boston, MA: $53,640 to $73,721
- Chicago, IL: $51,405 to $70,649
- Los Angeles, CA: $53,640 to $73,721
- New York, NY: $55,875 to $76,793
- Rochester, NY: $44,700 to $61,434
- San Francisco, CA: $55,875 to $76,793
- Washington, DC: $53,640 to $73,721
In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. Because such contingent compensation is not yet calculable or may be zero ($0) in some circumstances, the above-listed salary range is Nixon Peabody’s good faith estimate of the annual salary it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting.
