Position Overview:
Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Vice President, Supply Chain & Operations will lead a robust and complex organization, playing a key role in guiding the company through its next phase of growth. This individual will set the vision for supply chain and operations functions, with oversight of field operations, manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, quality, food safety, planning, procurement, and logistics.
As a key member of the executive team, the SVP Supply Chain & Operations will contribute to overall company strategy, drive performance to meet key objectives and KPIs, and ensure operational and supply chain functions are optimized for efficiency and growth. This leader will manage a diverse and talented team across multiple locations, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management systems and processes that drive operations and supply chain performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to scale manufacturing and supply chain capabilities in alignment with business expansion.
- Drive adoption of best practices in lean manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new products into manufacturing and supply chain processes.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all employee safety, food safety, and environmental regulations.
- Integrate sustainability goals into operations and supply chain initiatives.
- Lead strategic sourcing and logistics, managing relationships with suppliers, co-manufacturers, and external stakeholders.
- Oversee capital investments and infrastructure projects to support manufacturing and supply chain needs.
- Communicate key operational updates to the executive team and Board of Directors.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in manufacturing and supply chain management within the CPG industry.
- Experience in a vertically integrated food or beverage manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Direct manufacturing plant leadership experience is required; end-to-end supply chain accountability is highly preferred.
- Proven success in driving operational excellence through lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement programs.
- Expertise in optimizing distribution networks, enhancing asset utilization, and maximizing customer value.
- Experience managing and increasing capacity through internal expansion and co-manufacturing partnerships.
- Strong financial acumen, including fluency in financial statements, capital project evaluations, and cost accounting.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of leading large, diverse teams.
- Experience implementing best practices from large organizations in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
- Professional working proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
Additional Information:
- This is a 5 days/week onsite position in California. Relocation support is available.
- Competitive compensation package including $250-300K base salary, bonus, and other incentives commensurate with experience
