Chobani is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Category team as a Manager, focused on category capabilities, operations and intelligence, supporting the Director of Category Development. This role is based in New York City or Plano and requires 4 days in the office.

The ideal candidate has a strong blend of analytical and project management skills, operational acumen, and industry knowledge to drive category performance in a highly competitive CPG environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage merchandising guidelines, including image and spec submissions, while developing recommended national planograms
  • Collaborate with Director of Category Development on the development of category strategies aligned with company objectives, leveraging research vendor partnerships to unlock key insights for assortment optimization and shelving guidelines
  • Partners with Consumer Insights to establish consumer segmentations and translate shopper behaviors, preferences, and trends into actionable category strategies
  • Establish framework for Dairy Aisle redesign including recommendations on category adjacencies and set sizes
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to ensure accurate and consistent use of syndicated and shopper data sources
  • Consult on dashboard development and automated reports for business insights
  • Build category reporting and tools as the team lead for Power BI (or similar platform)
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize category management tools such as NielsenIQ, Circana, Planogram software, and more
  • Ensure accurate product categorization and coding in NielsenIQ (or similar syndicated data platforms), by regularly auditing custom and syndicated databases to maintain the integrity of category data and reporting
  • Partner with internal legal team to review and approve vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and mitigating risks related to third-party agreements
  • Collaborate with Director of Category Development on budget, performing associated tasks, such as vendor set up and purchase order creation
  • Develops strong working relationships with Commercial Growth team and several other internal partners
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years consumer packaged goods category management experience
  • Background in research/insights a must
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects against deadlines
  • Proficient with syndicated data sources including NielsenIQ and Circana, as well as planogram software including Blue Yonder/JDA
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
  • Willingness to travel

Compensation Range: $103,000.00 – $155,000.00, plus bonus.
