Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Security Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring the security of our network, systems, and devices. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of hands-on experience with security tools, strong technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.

The salary for this role is $95,000+ (flexible), varying based on skills, experience, and location.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Security: Implement, monitor, and maintain robust security measures to protect the organization’s network infrastructure.
- Systems Security: Oversee the security of internal systems, ensuring they comply with industry standards and best practices.
- Device Security: Establish and enforce policies to secure endpoint devices across the organization.
- Google Workspace Security: Configure and manage security settings within Google Workspace to safeguard sensitive data and communications.
- Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR): Deploy and manage CrowdStrike or equivalent EDR tools to detect, investigate, and respond to threats.
- Penetration Testing: Conduct or coordinate penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation measures.
- Email Security: Implement and manage email security tools to protect against phishing, spam, and other email-based threats.
- Vendor Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for security vendors, managing relationships and ensuring timely delivery of services.
- Incident Response: Participate in the investigation and resolution of security incidents.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident reports.
- Other Duties: Training other staff, adding and updating KB articles, special projects as assigned, and other duties as needed.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- At least 8 years of related experience in IT security, focusing on network, systems, and device security.
- Proven experience in IT security, with a focus on network, systems, and device security.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace security tools and configurations.
- Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike or similar EDR solutions.
- Strong understanding of email security protocols and tools.
- Familiarity with penetration testing methodologies and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing relationships with security vendors.
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
- Prior experience in incident response and forensics.
