The Financial Analyst assists both the Accounting & Program Management teams with customer margins, cost analyses, trend analyses, operation support/analysis and development of Excel-based tools to expedite decision-making.

Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
- Member of accounting team and a liaison to production/program management in analyzing and managing profit margins and job cost actual gross margin goals set by the company and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Improve operation efficiency and decrease financial risk by managing and upkeeping key financial/operational data (ex: Open PO’s, inventory control, open ticket levels, estimate targets, program targets).
- Coordinate with different departmental teams (Including but not limited to Sales, Marketing, IT, HR).to produce better business outcomes and assist with selected projects.
- Follow up on unfavorable variances to make corrections as needed.
- Track and monitor weekly billing/revenue objectives
- Forecast modeling and variance analysis to forecast, plan.
- Month-end and Year-end close duties.
- Perform and develop data discovery, analysis, and modeling.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and to customer/client needs required.
- Audit annual physical inventory counts and aide in annual audit requests.
- Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
- The ideal candidate is organized, impeccable with details, and has strong verbal and written skills.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience is required. Accounting or Finance majors are required.
Experience:
- Two to four years of business experience required
- Computer literate and fluent in word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications, (MS Office products primarily)
- Experience using financial enterprise systems preferred
