The Walt Disney Studios encompasses the creation, production, promotion, sales, acquisition and domestic and international marketing of live-action and animated motion pictures, live stage plays, and music and soundtrack recordings.
The Walt Disney Studios’ Business Platforms and Services team is seeking a talented Manager, Product Management to join our dynamic team at The Walt Disney Studios. This manager will leverage their strong background & affinity for Engineering, Product Ownership, Team Leadership, Stakeholder Management, Business Analysis, and the SDLC to manage development of an integrated planning toolset. As the Manager, Product Management, you will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technology team, determining product strategies and roadmaps, defining product features, and documenting designs. Additionally, you will contribute to the Studio Technology strategy, act as a technical sponsor for business unit initiatives, assess emerging technology trends for potential applications in the Marketing & Media Supply Chain, and manage staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

- Actively participate in standard-setting activities that are directly supporting the business objectives of the group.
- Keep team, peers, and executives abreast of marketing technology trends, products, applications and provide concise summaries of the findings.
- Review third party vendor solutions and applications into various companywide initiatives at a deep technical level to ensure they are aligned with the group’s goals.
- Collaborate closely and effectively with other technology teams across Disney Studios and The Walt Disney Company
- Develop and nurture relationships with external platform partners and stakeholders.
- Confidently speak about the movie making process.
- Represent company interests with outside customers and vendors in a succinct and articulate manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people.

Qualifications:
- 8+ years’ relevant industry experience including 4+ years’ developing applications and projects
- Strong experience with marketing technologies.
- Good experience with workflow analysis and change management
- Proven track record in delivering complex software projects using a recognized project management methodology (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)
- Proven track record in using external resources (vendors, contractors, offshore, etc.) for developing software.
- Proficient understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on technology and platforms evaluations.
- Demonstrated ability to transform requirements into a final deliverable.
- Demonstrated understanding of software development principles and how to implement them.
- Demonstrated understanding of design patterns and their usage models
- Experience directly managing and mentoring a team.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (MBA preferred), Design, Engineering, or Computer Science degrees preferred

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $167,700.00-$224,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
